Governor Edgar Endorses Representative Renée Kosel
81 st House District… Today, State Representative Renée Kosel (R-New Lenox) proudly announced that she has earned the endorsement of Jim Edgar, former governor of Illinois, in her race against Chris McNeil in the Republican primary.
In endorsing Representative Kosel, Governor Edgar said “Representative Kosel is a common sense Republican who has earned a reputation as an effective, hardworking legislator and has been at the forefront of ethics reform in Illinois. Renée works with colleagues to find real answers to the tough issues we face in Illinois and her experience and leadership is crucial in Springfield.”
Jim Edgar served two terms as governor and more than 7 years after leaving office still remains one of the most popular public figures in Illinois.
